One more photo of my today's Woolly Bear Caterpillar. He was found on my outdoor grill cover just a runnin' and walking all over. I don't know where he will hibernate, but I was glad I could spend some time with him (or her) up-close and personal!  Thanks for looking!

Two photos af my Woolly bear Caterpillar. Yep! we do seem to claim them for our own once we capture them on video or photograph them. I found him this afternoon on my outdoor grill cover, probably looking for a place to hibernate. This one shows a better winter coming; my other "cat" was all black in September.

This little fella was going all over my outdoor grill cover this afternoon. I think he was looking for a place to hibernate for the winter. Today was a bright sunny, warm sunshine, day.

"Familiar since Colonial times as the "Woolly Bear," the caterpillar is often seen crossing roads and paths on warm days in late fall. According to superstition, the amount of black in the caterpillar's bristle coating forecasts the severity of the coming winter. Actually, the coloration indicates how near the caterpillar is to full growth before autumn weather stimulates it to seek a winter shelter".

      Greeneview High School

      November 20, 2009

      by Ken Esselstein

Jamestown, Ohio. Don Nock Field was the site for the annual Greeneview High School Powder Puff Football Game between the Junior and Senior girls. The game took place on Thursday November 19, 2009. After a hard fought but scoreless first half marred by turnovers, the seniors were able to break through with a scoring run by Alexis Mickle half way through the second half to take a 6-0 lead. Later, with about three minutes to go Senior Shaytell Furman circled left end to up the lead to 12-0. The Juniors fought back with a seventy yard run by Chelsea Brown with 2:30 left on the clock to cut the lead to 12-6. Unfortunately for the Juniors, the clock ran out with the Seniors holding on to a well earned 12-6 victory. Special kudos go out to the Senior cheerleaders for their unusual but spirited halftime performance.

  • I got ROBBED AGAIN!!!

    • From: shumanclan
    • Description:

      Ok, so I don't know if it is a robbery, but here this!!!!!!! I am SOOO mad I want channel 7 to come out and report it!! ;}

Jakes birthday was yesterday. Turned 17. He has been wanting an ipod touch for awhile, so I go to walmart here in Springfield on ST Rt 40 and purchased one. He opens it...he is all happy....he gets it charged up...when at the same time he is noticing it to be damaged on the back. I told him I would take it back today to get another one, just in case something would be wrong with it. We turne it on this morning just to see if it was similar to my iphone. Well there we TONS of games, emails, pictures on this thing. IT IS USED!! Some little girls!!!! I didnt want to return it to Walmart thinking it may be stolen...(obviously was). I call Apple and tell them the story and they tell me to talk with a Walmart manager and they will handle it...

So Jake wanted to take it back so he could look at some other stuff at the store. I didn't see that being a problem. Well we come to find out that the ipod does not go with the box that it was returned it. So they would not refund it!! Probably thinking Jake is trying to get is the bad guy...well I call them tell them how the whole scene played out yesterday at Walmart, the cashier was all mad...on the phone...talking bad about customers...I felt sorry for him..it was really busy and he just wasn't cutting a break. When I went there I told him what I wanted....and normally I THOUGHT that they are under the item that is being displayed. Well no, I am by the ipods telling him what I want as he is still by his register, and he pulls one out under his register. Seemed odd, but thought ok, they have them there now. He was fiddling with the ipod in the box and on the phone and was just a busy scene. I told him I felt sorry for him and hoped he had a better day...pay for it and off we go.

SO again, I am jumping all over the place I know....but I am so MAD!!...so Jake is there they are taking it back, and he goes to pick up a couple of things for me while he is there. GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!! HE LOST IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now here we are...we purchased a more than likely stolen ipod that he lost and now we are out the money and the ipod...HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE...and who needs calm nerves DEBBIE!!!!! Kind of funny isn't it!!!!!!

Funny story here, Gary was in our neighborhood campaining and Thomas and I were talking with him outside our home. Thomas was so impressed with this man that he came in the house got a permanent marker and went upstairs to his room. A few minutes later he came downstairs with this t-shirt on saying our Mayor is scary so vote for Gary, LOL!! I almost fell to the ground laughing so hard. Knowing that Gary should still be in our neighborhood, I grabbed Thomas and we located Gary. I had to get pictures of Thomas with him.

Ok a quick description for this batch of photos:

1&2: ARES 1-X and the space shuttle both at the launch pads just before ARES 1-X launch (Not mine but worth sharing.)

3: Live Cam shot (Thanks Ana) from KSC showing the Shuttle being prepped for launch.

The last 2 are a bit... well..

4: What happens when a few army guys get bored. The pumpkin ripper.

5: Humor again. We are all getting just a LITTLE ticked off at Kathy Winters (Weather woman who gives go no go for weather conditions) and her calling "NO GO OMG!!!" every time a cloud passed overhead.

The coup de gras was when a FREAKING CARGO SHIP just steams right into the launch and recovery range of the ARES 1-X rocket.

Granted it finally launched...but still, it was the final touch on something we were all waiting with baited breath on.

Enjoy the pics and be aware the only 2 shots which are genuinely mine are the pumpkin guy and the screen shot. the other 3 qualify as fair use for the sake of comment and criticism and are permitted for redistribution but are copyright: NASA and Ana Marie (Who happens to work with the networking on these cameras.)

I believe the major news outlets will be covering the launch which is at 2:28pm Monday (4:28am Tuesday for me)
