    Well it is only 30 hours till launch. 

     

    I have spent the better part of the last month getting all of my computers online and networked together.

    At this stage, I am proceeding with a few objectives:

    1 bringing all computers online.

    Testing their network loads.

    Bringing mission audio reciever online (Pico WIFE SABRE radio tuned to NASA mission audio at T-12 hours. NASA TV at T-45 hours (Well into this stage)

    Setting up shortwave Radio system.

    Testing reception of VHF Radio.

    Reviewing Notes and publications put out (L2 @ http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/ One of the definative NASA sites for information and up to date notes.)

     

    I had to do some serious equipment overhauls. I had to purchase a brand new HP computer (Cost 500 dollars) to replace my shuttle computer which never made it from Maryland to Japan.

    at T-12 hours, I will set up my Home weather station, and the full HAM rig for the inevitable flyover 70 minutes after launch. I will attempt a call up but expect nothing. Granted ideal conditions, I might also try using the ole telescope to see the flyover (Which should be 530 am local time, just as the sun is coming up here (YES! THE SUN COMES UP THAT EARLY! It is weird...) The sun angle should allow me a decent reflective view of the space shuttle providing clear weather)

    I apologize for lack of updates. I have been sick as a dog and a little too busy to sit down on the site for some serious updates. As mentioned earlier, for the sake of not pissing EVERYONE off, I'll refrain from political discussion.

     

    I have a newer camera and have been taking a few photos here and there. Within the next week I will be uploading those pictures.
