  • Put your “Landmark” photos on the map.

    To view.

    In Google homepage (www.google.com) click on “maps”. Zoom in desired place (example Dayton).

    Then click on “more”.  Select the “photo” box and the photos will appear on the map.

    To put your photos on the map.

    Go to www.panoramio.com  Click on “sign up” and follow the instructions. Then upload your photos.

    I have about ten photos in the Google maps. (Google Earth)

    For their maps Google will not accept photos with people in them for the map. It will take around a month for it to appear on the Google Map and if doesn’t have a lot of hits they will take it off.

    I have spent hours on Google Earth and I LOVE looking at the Landmark photos people have submitted. When you "travel" to countries like Greenland where there aren't many street views or live webcams to see what it looks like there, people have submitted still photos of their own that let you see exactly what they saw!

    I was thinking of driving over to the Adena Mound in Enon (it's right up the road) and submitting a Landmark photo of my own to see if it gets accepted.
